Emerging Online Security Threats

Trend Micro, a provider of cloud computing and internet security systems released a statement summarizing what they feel are the top 10 security threats.  The top two threats are “Exploit Kits” and “Traffic Detection Systems” (TDS).

Exploit kits are a bundle of code that let hackers exploit the most prevalent security flaws in the general user base.

Traffic Detection Systems (TDS) are used to send victims to specific locations on the web where they can be exploited.  The criminals make money by sending or redirecting users to these locations.

Other security threats that made the list include, Mobile Threats, HTML5 Exploitation and Unregulated Markets.
